In the beginning during the 1980's, Kevin Maeder, the OG Picker, did flea markets and was infamous for having huge garage sales. Before child labor laws, he "recruited" his young son Ryan to help set up/tear down and carry items to peoples cars. Ryan's embarrassment of his junk picking dad grew into appreciation as an adult. As Ryan pursued other career options in life, Kevin always found ways to lure him on some property with the excuse of needing help. 

 In 2014 Ryan decided he wanted to dig in barns, basements and attics for the rest of his life- at that moment "Twinports Pickers" was born!

Kevin passed away in 2020 but the legend still lives on in every pick Ryan goes on. ​

Every once in awhile he can still hear those famous words-

"SON you'll never believe what I found!!"
